ST. MARYS — The top spellers at St. Marys Middle School participated in the annual spelling bee on Tuesday. In the end, Xaine LaPoint took home the top prize and Ashley Roth finished second.
ST. MARYS — The sledding hill at K.C. Geiger Park saw a lot of action on Monday. A snow day provided the opportunity for dozens of local residents to hit the hill.
ST. MARYS — Traffic is backed up in the area of Clover Four Road and Tri Township Road because a truck drove off the side of the road.
WAPAKONETA — Tracy W. Mabry, 51, of Celina, withdrew several motions Monday morning in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court related to his aggravated murder case for his alleged role in the 1981 death of St. Marys resident Marcellus Reineke. Minster 62, Anna 56: Gabe Goodwin led Minster with 14 points. Peter Falk had 13 points and Matthew Trushaw had 10 points and 15 rebounds. Blake Stephens scored 15 points for Anna.
St. Marys 55, Piqua 48: St. Marys moves to 10-4 and can now focus on Friday night’s Western Buckeye League showdown at Celina, where the Grand Lake St. Marys rivals will square off with matching 4-0 league marks. Derek Jay had 24 points for St. Marys.

New Bremen senior Carson Manger scored his 1,000th point in New Bremen's 50-45 win over rival Minster on Friday night. The future Lake Superior State guard had 24 points in the win.
