Ray “Rebel” A. Jarrells, 83

Ray “Rebel” A. Jarrells, 83, of 315 E. Spring St. in New Knoxville, died at 4:53 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

He was born on Jan. 6, 1931, in Nolan, W.Va., to Dee and Iva (Sparks) Jarrells, both of whom preceded him in death.

On Dec. 22, 1949, in Pikeville, Ky., he married Wanda L. Cook, who survives.

Loretta D. Kill, 69

Loretta D. Kill, 69, of St. Marys, died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at Otterbein Living Center in St. Marys.

She was born on Sept. 19, 1945, to Aloysius and Rose Mary Elwer Kill who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Spencerville High School, Class of 1963.

Loretta was a veteran with the U.S. Air Force.  She was recognized as the first woman in the PA Air National Guard to attain the status of first sergeant and retired as senior master sergeant in 1999.

Stephen D. Lawson, 57

Stephen D. Lawson, 57, of 1033 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died unexpectedly at 9:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on May 17, 1957, in Richmond, Ind., the son of Phillip and Della (Anderson) Lawson.

He married Carolyn Teague, and she died suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014.

Carolyn Lawson, 57

Carolyn Lawson, 57, of 1033 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died suddenly at 11:59 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.

She was born on Jan. 7, 1957, in Jelico, Tenn., the daughter of Hewil and Evelyn (Orick) Teague.

She married Stephen Lawson, and he died on Monday.

Kenneth C. Albers, 54

Kenneth C. Albers, 54, of Minster, died on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at his residence.  

He was born on Oct. 20, 1960, in St. Marys, to the late Ralph and Rosemary C. (Riethman) Albers.  

His mother survives in New Bremen.

Robert “Bob” V. Feldwisch, 64

Robert “Bob” V. Feldwisch, 64, of 09443 Bay Road, New Knoxville, died at 7:44 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, in Yorkshire.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1950, in Lima, the son of Vernon and Joann (Lammers) Feldwisch.

He is survived by his loving companion, Karen Bergman, of Yorkshire; by his parents, Vernon and Joann (Lammers) Feldwisch of New Knoxville; by his brother, David (Diane) Feldwisch of Houston, Texas; by two nephews, Philip Feldwisch and Peter Feldwisch, both of Houston, Texas.

Dean A. Frederick, 58

Dean A. Frederick, 58, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:08 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on Nov. 27, 1955, in St. Marys, the son of August A. and Lohoma M. (Young) Frederick.  

His mother survives in Eastover, S.C., and his father is deceased.  

On Aug. 5, 1989, he married Janet M. Coyle, and she survives.

Paul F. Schott, 91, of New Bremen, died at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at the Miami Valley Hospital, in Dayton. 

He was born on Nov. 5, 1922, in Chattanooga, the son of the late Frederick W. and Wilhelmina (Emerick) Schott. 

On Nov. 8, 1949, he married June Nolan, who survives in New Bremen.

Richard Leo Winkeljohn, 85, of Celina, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014.

He was born on July 6, 1929, in Celina, to the late Harry and Bernice (Stueve) Winkeljohn. Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law Jerry and Joyce Pulskamp, of New Bremen; James Winkeljohn, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Joyce Winkeljohn, of Lima; and sisters and brothers-in-law Mary and Don Angel, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Susan and Dan Plummer, of Ada; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Rosalie J. “Rose” Watkins, 75

Rosalie J. “Rose” Watkins, 75, was called into the presence of the Lord at 1:27 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at the Lima Convalescent Home. Rose was born on June 22, 1939, in Lima, to Charles and Gilberta E. (Archer) Woten who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Watkins was a devoted mother and grandmother, who dearly loved spending time with her family.
