Arrest Made Following Stop

CELINA — A Dayton woman was arrested Wednesday night following a traffic stop.

Sara M DeVall, 26, of Dayton, was arrested at 5:34 p.m. following a traffic stop on Johnson Street, near Buckeye Street in Celina. DeVall was charged with driving left of center and operating a motor vehicle under the influence. DeVall was also charged with possession of drug abuse instruments. Syringes, empty capsules, spoons and various prescription pills also were allegedly found.

Preliminary tests show that DeVall tested positive for opiates, cocaine and methadone. The sheriff’s office requested assistance on the scene by the Celina Police Department and the K-9 Unit from the Coldwater Police Department. The case will be sent to the prosecutor’s office with a request for additional felony charges.

“A tip was received that assisted us in this case,” Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said in a news release. "The public providing us information through our tip line or website is vital to the ongoing  efforts to rid our community of heroin.”
