Auglaize County Special Olympics basketball team headed to state tournament

The Auglaize County Special Olympics basketball team has a 13-0 record and is headed to the state tournament on March 30.

“The whole team showed tremendous effort to accomplish this feat,” Conner said. “Our summer games will be starting soon. We look forward to seeing all the athletes doing their best competing for the gold, silver and bronze medals.”

Ruth Cambell is statistician, Tammy Wiford ran concessions, the Peterman bus company provided transportation, Josh Wahl assisted in practices and games and Paul Gossard runs the scoreboard for the team.
