Craig Alan Rush, 53, of Logan, formally of St. Marys, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 12, 2013, from a tragic car accident.
Craig was born on Jan. 12, 1960, to Ted and Jeanne (Burden) Rush in Portsmouth, Va., Naval Hospital.
On June 24, 2000, he married Jennifer Beam of Fort Jennings.
Craig is survived by his wife and two sons, Luke and Seth, who are both at home. He is also survived by his parents, two sisters, Terry (Ron) Lininger, of Wapakoneta, and Shelly (Mark) Fledderjohann, of St. Marys, one brother, Scott (Amy) Rush of St. Marys, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a 1979 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. After high school, he attended Miami Valley School of Nursing. He worked 20 years as a nurse before going to Kettering, and becoming a physician assistant. He was in the process of receiving his masters degree.
Craig enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, boating and camping. He was a big kid at heart. In his spare time, he volunteered at the local food bank.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shepherd of the Hills Church, Rockbridge.
Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
