Michael W. Schaeufele, 65, formerly of St. Marys, passed away at noon Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at his residence in Minster.

He was born on JMichael W. Schaeufele, 65, formerly of St. Marys, passed away at noon Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at his residence in Minster.

He was born on Jan. 2, 1948, in Cleveland, to Alfred and Naomi (Preston)Schaeufele.

On Oct. 9, 2004, he married Linda (Morrow) Schaeufele; she survives at the residence in Minster.

He is survived by two stepsons, Michael Morrow Jr. of St. Marys and Scott (Drew) Morrow of Minster; two stepdaughters, Stacy (Robert) Allen of Spencerville and Amanda (Michael Forsythe) Morrow of Sidney.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gretchen and Kathy Schaeufele.

Michael was a 1966 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He retired from Allen County Correctional Institution on Aug. 1, 2011, after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1533, Indian Lake and Wapakoneta Eagles Aerie 691.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, 1175 E. Greenville Road, St. Marys.

Memorial services will follow at noon at the funeral home, the Rev. George Gnade, officiating.

Following the services at the funeral home, the family invites everyone to the Lost in the 50s restaurant in St. Marys for lunch.

Memorial contribution can be made to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
