“We talked about coming out and playing strong,” New Bremen head coach Theresa Jenkins said. “Minster is such a great team and usually how close we are with the rivalry that makes it even harder to play each other but I’m proud of my girls because they came out and put up a good fight against a pretty good Minster team.”
Julie Brown led New Bremen with 12 kills. Megan Kaiser and Sara Hosey each had eight kills for Minsnter.
“Our first six rotations we played real hard,” Minster head coach Cami Lefeld said. “We passed real well and were aggressive and slowed their attackers down, but in the middle rotations we broke down a little bit and allowed New Bremen to do what they are best at.”
New Knoxville kept Spencerville in single digits in all three games of their nightcap win.
“We knew we would have to maintain consistency,” Rangers head coach Jill Roode said. “We had o play well every single point and at this time of season it doesn’t matter who is on the other side of the net you still have to be ready to play.”
Haley Horstman led the Rangers with eight kills. Madison Lammers and Meg Reineke each added seven kills.
New Bremen (15-8) will play Marion Local on Thursday in the first match at 6:00 and New Knoxville will play St. Henry in the second match at 7:30.View more articles in:
