Patrol Investigates Minor Injury Accident

Troopers from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a minor injury crash that occurred at approximately 3:09 p.m. Wednesday at State Route 364 and State Route 119 in Auglaize County.
Leonard Clune, 83, of Minster, was traveling northbound in his silver Chevrolet SUV on State Route 364 at State Route 119 when he stopped at the posted stop sign at State Route 119, according to a news release from the highway patrol. Clune proceeded north on State Route 364 in the path of John Neumeier, 64, of Maria Stein, who was traveling westbound in a blue Chevrolet SUV on State Route 119.
The vehicles came to a rest on the southwest side of the road, and the fire department removed Clune from his vehicle by mechanical means. Clune was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Neumeier and his passenger, Vickie Neumeier, 61, were transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys for minor injuries.
Minster Police, Fire and EMS, New Bremen EMS, Nelsons Towing and Fisher's Towing assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at the scene. Clune was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield at the intersection.
