Riders Girls Finish 2nd In WOHSBC
The St. Marys Roughriders girls' bowling team finished as runner-up in the West Ohio High School Bowling Conference after falling to Coldwater, 2,650-2,402 on Saturday.
The Roughriders (11-1, 9-0) won the North Division last week with an unbeaten record, but with the Cavaliers winning Saturday's match, Coldwater is the conference champions.
Jami Dunlap led the Roughriders with a 359 series, (174, 185), followed by Grace Dicke with a 321 (168, 153).
Brittany Freytag finished with a 295 series (140, 155) and Jaden Gibson bowled a 286 series (123, 163).
Brianna Eberle (146) and Alayna Thornbery-Wurster (183) each rolled one game for the Roughriders.
St. Marys lost the Baker games, 857-812.
The St. Marys Roughriders boys' bowling team defeated Minster, 3,051-2,621 in West Ohio High School Bowling Conference action on Saturday.
Kelsey Shannon led the way for the Roughriders (7-5, 6-3 North) with a 465 series (210, 255), followed by Gunner Kruse's two-match score of 422 (216, 206).
Austin Cook was the other Roughrider to bowl two games on Saturday, finishing with a 410 series (182, 228).
Cameron Dingledine (213), Evan Tennant (207), Nate Kuffner (188) and Logan Dircksen (159) each rolled a game for St. Marys.
Seth Reeves led the Wildcats (5-6, 5-3 South) with a 457 series (190, 267), followed by Jordan Brackman with a 389 series (194, 195).
Austen Vanderhorst rolled a 336 series (178, 158), David Gabel bowled a 331 series (156, 175) and Luke Jacobs finished with a 315 series (186, 129).
The Roughriders won the Baker games, 987-793.
St. Marys finishes the regular season in the WOHSBC in fourth place in the North standings behind Celina, Shawnee and division champion Wapakoneta — who finished as runner-up in the conference to Coldwater.
