S. Andrew Liming, 57

S. Andrew Liming, 57, of 2260 Celina Road, St. Marys, died on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1953, in Xenia, to Ervin and Maryjane (Webster) Liming, and his father preceded him in death. His mother survives him in St. Marys.

He is also survived by two brothers, Gary (Joann) Liming of St. Marys and Joey Liming of St. Marys; a sister, Nancy (David) Liette of St. Marys; numerous nieces, nephews and acquaintances; his canine companion, D.J.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Liming; his faithful dog, Lucky.

He was a 1972 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He also attended Wright State University in Dayton, Northwestern Business College in Lima and graduated from Findlay University.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the 75th Range Battalion (Airborne).

A natural-born salesman, he was employed with the Tom Ahl automobile dealerships in Lima for a number of years. He later worked in the Equestrian Therapy Department of Findlay University.

As a young man, he received an award for heroism from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

“Uncle Andy” dearly loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and their children. An avid outdoorsman, he spent countless hours fishing, hunting, riding his four-wheeler ATV and flying radio-controlled model airplanes.

Horses were a true passion of his, having raised, shown and ridden them for pleasure.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys.

Burial, with full military honors, will take place at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
