After defeating their archrival in for the first time in 13 years, the St. Marys Roughriders will have to try to beat them again in a little more than two weeks later.

With the announcements of the sectional seedings for boys basketball coming Sunday afternoon, the biggest result is a rematch between St. Marys and Celina.

The two teams — who just played each other on Friday where the Roughriders broke a 12-game losing streak against the Bulldogs (4-15) with a 57-46 victory — will meet again at 7 p.m., Feb. 27 at Findlay High School in a Division II sectional semifinal in the Ohio Northern District.

During this school season, a Celina team has not beaten a St. Marys team in fall or winter sports, but two Celina programs — volleyball and girls soccer — have knocked off the Riders in postseason play.

No. 8 seeded St. Marys (7-12) will be looking for its first tournament win since the 2014-15 season.

The winner of that sectional on Feb. 27 will play top-ranked Wauseon in a sectional final at 6 p.m. on March 2 in Findlay.

In Division IV play, New Bremen (9-11) will play Perry (11-7) at 8 p.m. Feb. 27 at Bath High School in a sectional semifinal, with the winner playing No. 3 seeded Upper Scioto Valley (15-4) at 8 p.m., March 2 for a sectional championship.

In the other side of the Wapakoneta District bracket, New Knoxville (6-12) will play Allen East (4-15) in a sectional opener at 8 p.m. on Feb. 27 at Coldwater High School.

The winner of that game will play Minster (11-7) in a sectional final.

Marion Local (14-4) is the top team in the Wapakoneta District.
