St. Marys senior Jared Deubler's  54.85-second  time in the 100 backstroke was good enough to qualify him for a return to the Division II OHSAA state swimming championships. Deubler, who finished fifth at the district meet on Friday night at Cleveland State, will make his third trip to state in his career.

Deubler will  join teammate Madison Taylor, who will compete in the girls diving meet after her second-place finish at the district diving meet at Oak Harbor last week.

Minster’s Nikki Borgerding will be competing in two individual events and a relay. After automatically qualifying in the girls 100 yard breaststroke with a second place finish on Friday, her time in the 200 yard individual medley also qualified.

The Minster girls 200 medley relay team of Kara Kitzmiller, Borgerding, Cassie Jutte and Julia Slonkosky grabbed the final qualifying spot.
