VAN WERT — The St. Marys wrestling team swept a pair of matches at a Western Buckeye League super tri at Van Wert High School on Tuesday night. The Roughriders opened the night with a 59-21 over Ottawa-Glandorf and then handled Van Wert 48-28.
“The team made a lot of good choices from top to bottom,” St. Marys assistant coach Tim Heisey said. “They seemed to move constantly. That’s the key. We’ve just got to keep moving, moving, moving.”
St. Marys improved to 3-1 in the WBL. The Roughriders bounced back from a heartbreaking 36-34 loss to Celina last Thursday. St. Marys hosts Shawnee and Defiance next Thursday.
