Area Volleyball Players Earn District Honors

Several area volleyball players have earned first and second-team recognition in Division II and IV District 8 volleyball.

Erika Angstmann has been named Division II player of the year. Natalie Kuenning is first-team in District 8 volleyball. New Bremen's Paige Jones is Division IV west player of the year. Devon Heitkamp is first-team in District 8 volleyball.

New Knoxville's Madison Lammers is first-team in Division IV, District 8. Kenzie Schroer is honorable mention.

St. Marys coach Monica VanderHorst is Hall of Fame Nominee for Division II, District 8.

The players that earned honors and an area coach are invited to participate in the 2015 All-Star volleyball match for District 8 seniors at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at Bluffton University.

Minster’s Cami Garman will coach the West All-Star Team.

Angstmann and Kuenning are part of the Division I, II and III senior All-Star West team.

Heitkamp along with teammates Kaitlyn Ahrns and Alyse Clune will be part of the Division IV west team. Minster’s LeAnn Huelsman and New Knoxville’s Lammers and Rachel Leffel will also join the Division IV west team.
