The Celina Fire Department responded to a house fire Wednesday afternoon.
At 3:09 p.m. Wednesday, the Celina Fire Department received a call of fire in a bedroom at 114 Bayview Drive just east of Celina off of Ohio 703.
The home was occupied by Crystal Anderson at the time of the fire, and she was able to get out of the residence.
"On arrival we had heavy smoke coming from the home," Fire Chief Douglas Wolters noted in a news release. "The owner of the property was Dan Lim of Philadelphia, Pa., and was insured. The Red Cross is assisting Fred and Crystal Anderson and their two children who live at the residence."
Wolters noted the State Fire Marshal's Office will be assisting with the investigation to determine the cause. The home suffered moderate damage. The Celina Fire Department responded with two trucks, an ambulance and eight firefighters and remained on the scene for approximately two hours. Mercer County Sheriff Department also assisted at the scene.
