Donations Sought For Memorial Scholarship

Staff Writer

Donations will be collected Friday at the high school football scrimmage between Wapakoneta and Minster high schools to fund a scholarship in memory of the two Elida football players who died as a result of a car crash last week.

The scrimmage has been designated as a jamboree, and per Ohio High School Athletic Association rules, each team participating must pay the OHSAA $250 to operate a jamboree.

Money raised beyond the required $500 will be donated to the scholarship fund.

Jakob Sexton and Drew Dulebohn were the two teenage boys who died as a result of the single-car accident. Four other teenagers were injured in the crash.
