Fire In Celina

At 1:16 a.m. Friday, the Celina Fire Department received a call of a garage fire which was attached to the residence at 618 Linden Ave., Celina. On arrival flames were coming from the garage and the fire had extended into the attic of the house. A vehicle in the garage was destroyed. The garage sustained heavy damage and the house sustained moderate damage. The residence is owned by Michael and Kelly Thobe. Kelly Thobe and her three children were sleeping and was alerted by the smoke detectors in the home and escaped with no injuries. The home was insured. The department responded with three trucks, one ambulance, and 13 firefighters. The department will remain on the scene until later today. The cause is under investigation by the Celina Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
