Minster Girls Cross Country Starts Season Ranked 1st Place

With the 2015 varsity boys and girls cross country season starting today, the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches released its first coaches state poll of the season and Minster is ranked at the top spot.

The Wildcats’ varsity girls cross country team is ranked first in the state in Division III with 167 votes.

For the boys team, they are ranked 10th place.

New Bremen boys are also ranked, starting the season in 23rd place. Fort Loramie boys have been voted 28th.

For the girls, Russia is votes seventh and Fort Loramie is ranked 21st.

In other nearby schools, Versailles is ranked tied for 18th in girls Division II.

A Western Buckeye League team has made an appearance on the poll with with Defiance boys coming in at eighth place.

The Wildcats’ season does not start until Aug. 29 when they complete in the Bob Schul Invite at Milton-Union.

The Cardinals start their season at the Auglaize County Invite in St. Marys Aug. 25.
