Minster Girls Golf Advances To 2-0, Boys Fall To 0-2 In Conference Play

The Minster varsity girls golf team posted their fourth win of the season and second in the Midwest Athletic Conference after defeating Versailles Wednesday night in conference action at Stillwater Golf Course.

The Wildcats beat Versailles by one stroke, 194-193.

Alli Fischer shared the medalist with Versailles' Maddie Covault with both shooting a 45.

For the Wildcats, Lisa Borges carded a 48, Hallie Sherman claimed a 49 and Taylor Homan finished with a 51.

The Wildcats play again on Friday at Arrowhead Golf Course against Russia. Meanwhile, the Minster varsity boys golf team fell to Versailles 177-200 Wednesday night in Midwest Athletic Conference action at Arrowhead Golf Course.

The Wildcats (0-2 MAC) were led by Jordan Brackman, who scored a 45 on the day Wednesday. Ben Stubbs followed with a 50, Adam Knapke shot a 52 followed by Logan Lazier who shot a 53. Brett Hoelscher shot a 55 and Conner Tumbusch wrapped up the scoring for the Wildcats with a 57.

Nichlos Litten Stonebraker of Versailles (1-0) was the medalist with a 43.

The Wildcats will try to win their first conference game of the season today against Delphos St. John's at Arrowhead Golf Course.
