Paige Jones Earns All-Ohio Honors

The accolades continue to pile up for Paige Jones.


The New Bremen Cardinals basketball player earned honorable mention as an All-Ohio player in Division IV girls basketball by the Associated Press, which released its all-state team Monday night. 


Jones was also named Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year last month and second-team All-District in District 8 last week.


The sophomore averaged 11.7 points per game this season (258 total points), leading the Cardinals (18-6, 7-2 MAC) to a second-place finish in the MAC standings and an appearance in the sectional final.


Jones ended her season shooting 90 of 263 from the field (34 percent), 37 of 118 (31 percent) from the 3-point line and was a 62 percent free throw shooter.


She was second on the team in rebounds with 119, as well as collecting 58 assists, 18 blocks and 39 steals in a total of 544:00 played this season.


The Associated Press released its All-Ohio teams for Division IV Monday and will release Division II and III on Tuesday, followed by Division I and Ms. Basketball on Wednesday for girls basketball.


The boys All-Ohio team will be released next week.


Division IV will be on Monday, Division II and III on Tuesday and Division I and Mr. Basketball on March 16.
