A season with so much promise, ended abruptly on Tuesday night for the St. Marys Roughriders.

After Emma White regained the lead for the Roughriders with a goal at the 36:15 mark of the second half, St. Marys mustered just one shot on goal for the next 10 minutes. By the time the 22:47 clip of the second half approached, the Roughriders tallied just one more shot on goal when the Titans’ scored on a crosser to Leanna Zynda, drilling it right past Bailey Fenwick-Miller to tie the game.

The dagger came with 7:04 remaining when Kadie Hempfling header the ball over Josie Bowman in front of the Roughriders’ goal off a corner kick from Alexis Schroeder for the lead.

Tuesday was a continuation of the Roughriders’ struggles in the latter part of the season.
