Robbery Suspect Arrested

A Celina man was arrested and charged with robbery stemming from an incident Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report from the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, deputies began investigating a robbery that took place at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The alleged victim and suspect are acquainted with each other. The suspect, Silas Floyd King Jr., 62, 6620 Bruce Road Lot 23 Celina, allegedly approached the victim at his residence, pointed a gun at him and demanded money. Deputies received a search and arrest warrant for King and his residence.
Detectives found King at a bar in Franklin Township and he was taken into custody without incident. Detectives and deputies searched King's house and found the gun described by the alleged victim. The gun was found to be a pellet gun. However, it was made to look like a .357 revolver.
King is currently being held in the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility on charges of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and theft, a fifth-degree felony. The theft charge was enhanced because of the alleged victim's age. King is being held on a $500,000 bond.
