According to Franklin High School Athletic Director Brain Bales, the St. Marys Roughriders (10-1) will play the top-ranked Wildcats (11-0) in Division III, Region 12 at Wayne High School in Dayton for a regional semifinal at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The distance for St. Marys fans to travel is about 60 miles down I-75, but just 31 miles for Wildcats fans in Franklin.

Other possible destintions such as Sidney and Piqua were already taken by 1 p.m. on Sunday when the OHSAA were announcing playoff sites. Troy High School would have been a evenly distanced site between the two schools, but the school's football field is grass, not turf.

In another postseason matchup, Minster (7-4) and Upper Scioto Valley (8-3) will play a Division VII, Region 28 semifinal at Harmon Field in Wapakoneta at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The Rams won their first postseason game in school history on Saturday against Troy Christain while Minster defeated Lehman Catholic.
