Superior Federal Credit Union and the Western Buckeye League have officially signed a marketing agreement to make Superior the Official Financial Institution of the WBL, officials from both organizations announced Tuesday. While common in college and professional sports, this deal is believed to be the first of its kind in Ohio high school athletics.

Under the agreement, Superior will provide the league and each member school with sponsorship and marketing considerations.

“The athletic directors and member schools are in agreement that this is a good partnership for all involved,” said Robert Askins, WBL Commissioner. “This is a relatively new type of agreement for us, and knowing that this partnership will reflect on all member schools, we wanted to make sure that we were working with a quality organization. We found that in Superior.”
